Blue Lagoon is a narrative open-world, focused on a calm, sometimes almost contemplative experience.

In this game, the player takes on the role of a small robot tasked with probing the seabed, which wakes from sleep after years of unexplained inactivity.

By searching and scanning the surrounding area, chatting with various ocean creatures and gradually recovering its features, the player can gradually discover his objective and move deeper and deeper into the ocean.

This project required an enormous amount of level design and world building work, made more complex than usual by the water movements. Indeed, as the character can move in absolutely any direction, even at height, it was important to have areas with a high degree of verticality.

We also put a lot of effort into the storytelling. Whether through multiple-choice dialogues with the game's 5 main NPCs, or simply through the little speech bubbles offered by each open-world fish, we wanted the player to feel emotionally invested in the adventure.

Between an old turtle who's afraid for his children, a shy whale who can't find her friend, or a barracuda who plays the kingpin to get favors, each character offers his own little side story, which the player can decide to follow if he feels like it.
